Some numbers are worth a glance many times a day. When they sit on your Home Screen, you stay in the loop without opening a thing. Here are five worth putting there, drawn from work and from the rest of your life.
Each one is a number you already track in Airtable. Air Widgets simply shows it where you’ll see it.
1. Orders today
A live count is the easiest place to start. Orders today, jobs booked, new sign-ups, tickets still open. Pick the one that tells you how the day is going, and watch it climb. Every time you add a record in Airtable, the count on your Home Screen ticks up on its own.
2. This month’s revenue
Sometimes you want a total, not a tally. Money earned this month, hours logged, donations raised. Air Widgets adds up the column for you and shows the running total, so the figure you’d normally hunt for is right there when you glance.
3. Progress toward a goal
Goals feel better when you can see them fill. Set a target, and show a progress ring that fills as you get closer. Sixty percent to your sales goal. Halfway to a fundraiser. Nearly done with a reading challenge. The ring turns a flat number into something you can feel at a glance.
4. Days to go, or what’s next
A date you’re counting toward deserves a spot on your Home Screen. Days until a launch, a trip, a deadline, a birthday. You can also show what’s next in line, like the next task due or the next appointment. Either way, you always know where you stand without opening a calendar or a list.
5. A weekly trend
One number tells you where you are. A small chart tells you which way you’re heading. Show this week’s sales, workouts, or steps as a simple trend, and you’ll spot a slow week or a good streak in a second. It’s the difference between a snapshot and a sense of direction.
Mix work and life
These don’t all have to be about work. The same idea fits a savings goal, a habit you’re building, or a side project you’re nursing along. If it’s a number you check often, it’s a good candidate for the Home Screen. You might keep sales in one widget and your daily water count in another, right next to each other.
You can start with one and add more as you go. Some people keep a single figure front and center. Others build a small dashboard with three or four numbers side by side. There’s no wrong way to do it.
How to set one up
Each of these takes about a minute. Connect your Airtable to Air Widgets, pick the number, choose how it looks, and place it on your Home Screen. From then on it stays fresh on its own.
Air Widgets is a native iPhone app that works with Airtable, and is not affiliated with Airtable. It’s built to show your numbers well, so a glance is all it takes.
